so the car is fixed and back in good working order. its a good vehicle, all in all.
i can’t sleep. i’m tired, my muscles are achy from laboring in the yard today. not that i mind, i got a little bit more accomplished and its starting to shape up nicely. soon when i walk out my front door my efforts will make me smile. good fung shi… feng shi.. feng shui.. whatever. good energy, how’s that?
i went to pike nursery with felicity to get some plants. not a lot, i’m starting small. i’ll add in more as time goes on and things have a change to dig in or die. they also have this thing where they’ll sell you the busted bags for a dollar. i bought eight, and the boys (yes, boys. highschool or college age) that helped me load miscounted. i corrected him on it and he smiled and said “sure you don’t want one more?”
i smiled and said, “well, i certainly wouldn’t complain.”
“promise you want say anything?” he grinned at me lopsided, and i noticed just how cute he was.
“say what? i have no idea what you are talking about,” i said to him as he threw the other bag in and i shut the rear door.
“have a good day” we said to each other as i got in the van and drove off.
now, to some this may sound like a bad thing, but that one little thing means that they will keep getting my business. i won’t expect anything like that ever again, but you can’t beat cute guys flirting and throwing in a “free gift with purchase”. *wink*
makes me want to quote phill, “damn chick advantage”.
daecon has a phone interview tomorrow at 3:30. i’m hoping that all goes well and crossing my fingers and toes. this is the result of the interview he had with the recruiter the other day. all prayers, good thoughts, and voodoo rituals (well, only the good ones) are welcome.
the kids are a bit under the weather. runny noses, sore throats, and a slight fever. i tried to help make them feel better tonight by giving them a warm bath, a nice bedtime lotion, and vics vapor rub. oh, and freshly washed linens. they tore down their megablock castle today and started stacking the wall pieces to make “good guys” and “bad guys” so they could knock them over. its was quite amusing to watch.
daecon had shown simon the frog out front and simon decided that its name was “Ura”. the frog decided to relocate sometime after this happened, so somewhere out in our backyard is a frog named Ura.
